The greatest dictator:
From the most noble and humble personalities to notorious Hitler, every one had sincerely complied his command. His authority is the most powerful.None can disregard or discard his command and priority must be even in the midst of confidential defense meet.
So stubborn is his command that he doesn't seek permission or appointment and empowered to command and demand. Those who disrespect would be in trouble.
His power is such that he disturbs President Barak Obama to attend his call at anytime during his busiest schedule. Since he doesn't have competitor, he wins in every situation and he is the winner for ever. But his dictatorship doesn't harm anyone, instead it benefits.
The dictator I am referring to here is the least glamorous organ in our body - Urinary bladder.
The Urinary bladder wall contains three main layers of muscle:
The Mucosa:
The mucosa is the inner most layer and is covered in epithelium, which are involved in absorption and secretion.
The Submucosa:
The submucosa lies immediately beneath the mucosa and its basement membrane. It is composed of blood vessels to supply the mucosa with nutrients and lymph nodes which help in the elimination of waste products.
The detrusor muscle:
The detrusor muscle, located behind the pelvic bone(public symphysis), and a drainage tube, called urethra with two outlet valves called sphincters - The internal sphincters and the external sphincters.
The internal sphincters is a ring of muscle that holds the neck of the urinary bladder in its place. It opens and shuts involuntarily.
The external sphincter or distal sphincter acts like a tap and retain urine in the bladder. It is controlled by the pudendal nerve which in turn by the voluntary nervous system-under our control.
The detrusor muscle contracts at the time of urination to squeeze out urine. The bottom section of the bladder or the trigone is an important area where ureters come in to the bladder and is where all the nerve receptors are found. The bottom of the bladder is the beginning of the urethra.
All the 24 hours kidneys dribble urine to the extent of 400-600 ml into the bladder as excreted from the blood. This is accomplished by a very complex set of structures in the kidneys called nephrons that delicately balance filtration, re-absorption and secretion of various constituents of various body fluid.
The three sets of bladder muscles must work in close concordance to control various stages of urinary bladder collecting and emptying.During the filling process the internal pressure within the bladder become so strong enough to activate nerve receptors in the bladder wall and send message to the brain creating small contractile waves in the detrusor muscle. The internal urethral sphincter automatically relaxes and becomes funnel shaped while the external sphincter gets consciously tightened and the urge to urination becomes very apparent.
Requirement of Water
A healthy person's daily requirement water is up to 2 litres. However the amount of water a person needs varies depending on his/her weight, activity level and climate. To maintain the system in good condition one required to drink water in adequate quantity, eat plenty of water rich foods, fruits like watermelon, cucumber, tomato, oranges, tender coconuts etc. This will help keep your bladder clean while eliminating ailment like pyelonephritis. Regular exercise and ample rest too bring greater success.
Inadequate water intake not only have a negative impact on kidneys but also affects brain function leading to dangerous condition.
